Making a great meatloaf is easier than you might think! Here's a classic recipe to get you started:
### Classic Meatloaf Recipe
#### Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup dried bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
#### Instructions:
1. **Preheat the oven** to 350°F (175°C).
2. **Mix the ingredients**: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, milk, bread crumbs, and egg. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. **Shape the loaf**: Press the mixture into a loaf shape and place it into a lightly greased 5x9 inch loaf pan.
4. **Prepare the topping**: In a separate small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup. Pour this mixture over the meatloaf.
5. **Bake**: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is no longer pink in the center and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
